bin Saleh Al Ataishan stressed the importance of the first annual conference of the
construction industry Institute, organized by the King Fahd University of
Petroleum and Minerals, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud
bin Nayef, the Prince of the Eastern Province, titled "Towards a better productivity and quality.
Ataishan
said that such initiatives contribute to the difference in the construction
sector industry, noting that the conference, organized by the university at its
headquarters in Dhahran University during the period of March 1 to 2, 2017
discussing the prominent topics discussion platform for the construction
elements of owners, contractors, and designers, and suppliers, and
legislators, and academics, will also discuss best practices to improve
productivity and quality control for construction projects to know their
contributions to sustainable development in the Kingdom.
It
also aims to activate the exchange of information between the constituent
elements of the construction sector and private research centers, universities,
and enhancing the role of research and development in improving the performance
of those elements, in addition to displaying the practices in measuring
productivity and quality control in construction projects in Saudi Arabia as it
is witnessing the participation of a group of outstanding researchers from inside
and outside the Kingdom and interested in this field.
Al
Ataishan urged the business sector to participate actively and attend the
conference to enrich it with their views that contribute to the improvement of
the construction sector.
